Benefit Concert for Chicago Velo Campus‏

The Chicago Velo Campus (http://www.chicagovelocampus.com/) is pleased to announce a musical fund-raising event to generate awareness and support for its bid to build a premier cycling venue for all levels of local, national and international cycling athletes with a Velodrome, outdoor/indoor BMX, mountain bike and Cyclocross courses in a state-of-the-art multi-dimensional sports complex on Chicago’s south side.

What: Concert to Benefit Chicago Velo Campus Project
Where: Cafe' Galileo @ Adler Planetarium
When: Friday; June 3rd (6:30 pm - 9:30 pm)

This event features a very special cinema presentation that brings to life how the grand vision of the Chicago Velo Campus is to be integrated with the proposed South Shore Works Development. The event includes a full-experience multi-media movie (on the big cinema screen on June 3rd) that allows visitors to fly through the architectural renderings of the project, and to experience how the cycling stadium & multi-sport facility will anchor and support the local community, schools and people in the city of Chicago, especially the south side where it is to be located.

The evening will include a musical performance by Evgeniy Gurev, Principal Trumpet Player of the Bolshoi Theatre accompanied by a 40 piece orchestra for a special presentation of Gershwin’s Rhapsody in Blue (arranged by Timofey Dockshitzer) and the Arutunian Trumpet Concerto.
