Elite and professional racing teams have used this event as a training ride in prep for races like the National Criterium Championships in Downers Grove. In this multi-lap race format, bike handling especially the ability to handle many corners in a pack and sprinting are important skills.
The benefits of showing up! Opportunity to race competitively during the week. Great arena for beginners to learn how to race. NOBODY is pulled from a race - If you get dropped, hop right back in. Various race formats keep the racing from getting stale. |

The Beverly Hills Cycling Classic returns in its 7th year as the kick-off event for the International Cycling Classic. The challenging 100K criterium loops through beautiful Beverly Hills/Morgan Park, one of Chicago's most historic, friendly and hilly residential neighborhoods. More than 5,000 people come from throughout Chicagoland to enjoy the racing action and the festival, which includes live music, food and beverages, and family activities. |

Downtown Homewood Rated one of the top ten best suburban downtowns in the Chicago Metropolitan area by the Chicago Tribune, Homewood’s downtown is anchored by regionally known restaurants, delightful specialty shops, and modern streetscapes. It’s an inviting place for pedestrians to walk, shop, eat, and chat with neighbors and friends. Downtown displays its historic charm in its Victorian era storefronts and modernized gas lamps. Brick-paved sidewalks make way to expansive shopping districts stocked with one-of-a-kind boutiques and restaurants. Visitors can also view the Richard Haas murals located on the rear side of the shops at Ridge Road and Harwood Avenue. This is the third Year event for Richton Park to host Day Four of the International Cycling Classic. The course will circle though a friendly, newer neighborhood area. The course will also circle Pierce Park, a 7-acre park with mature trees. Pierce Park is named after the Pierce family, who moved to Richton Park in 1928. |

Great 3.8 mile road race. This course has a nice climb in a beautiful nature preserve then a great decent which creates a nice course. As an additional note this course was a portion of the ICA State championship course from 2009, but has been changed considerably. This will be GOOD! |
