The Great Egyptian Omnium (GEO) is back for a third year offering riders a taste of southern Illinois cycling. The 2012 GEO kicks off on Saturday in Creal Springs with a challenging 20 mile loop road race and 7.5 mile time trial. Then, on Sunday, we welcome the Illinois Cup to southern Illinois with a new, wide open criterium course on the campus of John A. Logan College in Carterville.

Then, on Sunday, we welcome the Illinois Cup to southern Illinois with a new, wide open criterium course on the campus of John A. Logan College in Carterville.

Twenty-two and one half miles of ups, downs, twists and turns on the beautiful back roads of St. Clair and Madison counties. There are several short but formidable hills with almost 1000 feet in elevation gain. The course gives novices and experts alike plenty to test their skills, including a mid-course sprint for primes. Look for the start/finish line at the 200 block Kyle Road in front of Central Christian Church, in O’Fallon, IL

Race the 11th annual Hillsboro-Roubaix Spring Classic, through the brick streets and rural roads of beautiful Hillsboro, Illinois. Just 60 miles, but a world away from St. Louis, MO, this is
small town America at its best.

Racers will tour the brick streets of Hillsboro in a rolling neutral start, then race a 29 mile loop that has all you want in a Spring Classic: Flat open back roads heading into a northern headwind, rolling terrain, short but challenging climbs, twisty descents, and village streets paved in brick. Sorry, no real pave, the bricks will have to suffice!

This is the Forth Annual ICA Awards celebrating the best in competitive cycling not just on the bike but those who do so much off the bike too. Winners of the Illinois Cup will be honored, as well as the Club of the Year, the Promoter of the Year, the Official of the Year, and a Lifetime Achievement Award.

The 2011 GEO kicks off on Saturday in Creal Springs with a challenging 20 mile loop road race and 7.5 mile time trial. Then, on Sunday, we welcome the Illinois Cup to southern Illinois with a new, wide open criterium course on the campus of John A. Logan College in Carterville.

Meeting will be from 10am - 1pm. It will be held at SRAM HQ's in Chicago in hopes to make it easier to get to for many of our officials that live in Chicago. Food will be provided.



This is a meeting for all 2011 Officials. Plan is to go over rule changes, discuss race day situations and scenarios, review results and registration program, and go over entering sign ups on the ICA site.
