The Soldier Field Cycling Series is a developmental cycling series consisting of six criterium style bicycle races. The goal of the SFCS is to showcase the cyclists of tomorrow, grow the sport and expose it to new eyes.

This competitive bike race series will take place on alternating Wednesdays during June through August in the beautiful and scenic City of Chicago.

A very popular Tuesday night criterium race training series with an emphasis on rider development. Elite and professional racing teams have used this event as a training ride in prep for races like the National Criterium Championships in Downers Grove. In this multi-lap race format, bike handling especially the ability to handle many corners in a pack and sprinting are important skills.

A full day of bicycle racing for all categories returns to downtown Evanston on Sunday, July 19, 2009. The event will attract 20,000 spectators to downtown Evanston to watch the races, dine out al fresco, check out local shops, and enjoy live music and dancing. We are building on what we’ve done over the past two years to make this year’s event the best one yet. The course is the same as the last two years’, dubbed “tight, technical, and exciting,” with six turns and a three-block finishing straight.
