Glencoe, a thriving village on Chicago's North Shore, is approximately 15 miles north of downtown Chicago. This new location is accustomed to bike racing and has been home to the Glencoe Grand Prix for the past four years. The Glencoe Grand Prix is organized by the Glencoe Educational Foundation, a charitable organization that supports schools in Glencoe. The event is coordinating with the Glencoe Educational Foundation.

“Rumble at the Resservior” is a .55 mile course with a start finish at the beautiful 2nd
Street Basin in Champaign’s Mid Town area. The course is flat and includes a short section of
brick pavement. The roads are wide and the course is essentially flat wth a slightly down hill
finish.

A popular Tuesday night criterium race series with an emphasis on rider development. Elite and professional racing teams have used this event as a training ride in prep for races like the National Criterium Championships. In this multi-lap race format, bike handling especially the ability to handle many corners in a pack and sprinting are important skills.
